The space

Classes at Electric Church

Electric Church has been a working venue and music community in Austin for years — putting on live shows and events year-round, in festival season and out of it.

There are two locations now, a block apart on the downtown east side. Lessons, classes, and workshops are held in the newer of the two, just opening.

The facility has multiple rooms, so more than one thing can happen at once: a group can play through amps at full volume in one room while a songwriting session runs in another and a band meets down the hall. Students learn in a working music space rather than a practice cubicle — the same kind of room they'll eventually play in.

In the building

  • Multiple rooms, used at the same time
  • Amplified playing — full-volume band rehearsal
  • Quieter rooms for songwriting and co-writes
  • Workshop and meeting space for groups
  • Central downtown East Austin location
  • Saturday and Sunday daytime availability

Full address and room details are confirmed when you book.
